The Refuge Canada Tent exhibit aims to educate individuals on Canada's role in the worldwide refugee crisis and increase their understanding of the struggles and hardships that refugees endure. Additionally, the exhibit delves into Canada's past efforts in addressing refugee situations.

This is a FREE event from 6:30 AM to 11 PM and will be held at Malton Community Centre.


2. Unearth Uncover (Feb 21, 22, 23, 24, 25):


The exhibition, created by educators and students at Cawthra Park Secondary School, is designed to increase public awareness about the #BlackedOutHistory initiative by the Ontario Black History Society. The exhibit draws attention to the absence of Black history in the curriculum of schools throughout Ontario.


This is a FREE event from 10 AM to 6 PM. 


3. Cirque Kalabante - Afrique en Cirque

Afrique en Cirque is a performance that represents the vitality, skill, and celebration of life that are characteristic of African youth. 


The show features a small group of courageous acrobats and their accompanying musicians, who perform dynamic choreography and daring acrobatics to the energetic beat of Guinea's djembes. 


The Kora's soothing melody, as played by Yamoussa Bangoura, transports the audience to a realm where the multifaceted traditions of African arts are illuminated, fused with the skillful artistry of a modern North American circus performance.

4. Black History Month Market (Feb 24)


Visit this event and you will get a chance to shop local Black-owned businesses, hear from community historians, and celebrate Black excellence in Mississauga. The event is hosted in partnership with the Museums of Mississauga and Mississauga Recreation. Free and open to all.

5. 2023 World Rowing Indoor Championships (Feb 25-26)


Competitors from everywhere on the planet will strive for the championship title in tests of both strength and speed on indoor rowing machines. 


Enjoy two days of intense racing on the arena floor, with excitement-filled sprints, long-distance events, and enjoyable team relays. Support your local athletes as they battle it out with international indoor rowing stars.
